The Idea and Application of the Hair Dressers and Beauty Salon Workers in Blood Infection Diseases in A Part of Ankara

This research is corrected out in a distrinct of Ankara to identify the views and some practices of hairdressers and beauty salon workers on blood transmitted diseases. This cross-sectional study was conducted on 100 people, working in hairdresser (n=14), hairdresser-beauty salon (n=19) and beauty salon (n=8). Data was collected with a self-administered questionnaire form. Of the participants, 58% were under 26 year old (Mean=26.01, Min=14, Max=58, SS=7.854), 55% were men. About 56% of participants were appraising their job under high risk and 13% were doing nothing for preventing from disease. Only 19% have been vaccinated to Hepatitis B.
